Half-Life: Alyx Gets 3 New Gameplay Videos From Valve Ahead of Launch

Valve released three new videos for Half-Life: Alyx, which will be released on March 23, for the computer. The VR game is only set between Half-Life and Half-Life 2 events. Videos shared by Valve on Twitter show some of the mechanics in the game. Valve states in her post that these videos will give players an idea of the environments and situations they will have to address. The three videos offer different parts of the game and different mechanisms that players can use.

The first video puts Alyx at an abandoned train station that is overlooked by Combine. The second video is set inside a building, while the third part covers more open space. All three videos combined give about 10 minutes of new gameplay shots. The first video shows some fireworks, while the second part contains more level traversal. The third video is more focused on fighting and Alyx appears using the environment as a cover when fighting on Combine.

Half-Life: Alyx is a first-person shooter VR game that will give players an opportunity to return again to City 17. Half-Life fans have eagerly waited for the third installment in the series that does not seem to come any time soon, or even exist for that matter . Through Half-Life: Alyx, Valve wants to give players a sense of fighting with Combine and following the story of one of the characters from the franchise, Alyx Vance. Alex was a non-playable character (NPC) in Half-Life 2 in 2004.

Half-Life: Alyx is listed on Steam for Rs. 1,169 which is 10 percent discount on the original price of Rs. 1,299. Game requires VR headsets compatible with Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality headsets and all SteamVR compatible headsets. As a reminder, the game was first announced in November last year, and within days, the March release date was set.
